Dita VonTeese

Welcome, I’m Katie.

I’m one part aesthetician, one part mystic, and two parts glam squad (with a pinch of moon goddess thrown in for good measure). I wholeheartedly believe that natural beauty can also be luxurious. I’m artistic, mystical, highly intuitive and happiest when my hands are in the dirt, tending to my garden. Art is my outlet. Skincare and self-care are my love languages. And I’m so grateful to share these gifts with you.

Honesty. Empowerment. Inclusivity. Intuition.

Beauty and wellness are not one-size-fits-all industries. Vyleta Aesthetics values honesty and education in helping everyone get comfortable in their own skin by learning how to care for it on an individual basis. That confidence can help you feel empowered - and beautiful. I welcome all skin tones - and specialize in global skin tones.

FAQs

  • Gua sha is a type of facial massage rooted in ancient Chinese lymphatic drainage technique. What was once a more vigorous body massage has now evolved to be used by estheticians as a gentle facial massage to help manually remove lymph and toxins. Gua sha consists of gliding strokes and light kneading action over the face and neck to help move out interstitial fluid (fluid trapped under the skin) that can lead to puffiness and bloat. It is also a non-invasive method that helps ease the appearance of fine lines.

  • Sugaring is a natural alternative to waxing that uses a paste of cooked-down sugar, lemon and water as the hair remover. This technique is gentler than traditional waxing with minimal irritation, and it lasts longer. The sugar paste is applied against the hair growth, where it sinks in and lubricates the follicle. It is then quickly pulled off in the direction of hair growth, removing the unwanted hair painlessly and quickly.

Body sugaring dates back to 300 BC during the days of Cleopatra. At that time, it was thought to be “unclean” to present one’s self to royalty with body hair. Sugaring - also known as halawa or sukkar (Middle East) and moum (Iran) - has been used for generations in the Middle East and Asia. Honey is thought to be the very first sugaring mixture used in the technique.
