Hello, I’m Katie Hoss of Vyleta Aesthetics

Skincare salon owner. Littleton, Colorado Esthetician. Mama and wife. Intuitive. Breath and Sound Healer. Gem lover. Moon phase follower. Educator at heart.

I’m Katie Hoss a Wisconsin girl who found herself swept (happily) to Denver a few years ago. When I’m not delving into skincare and aesthetics, I love exploring the beauty of the Colorado mountains with my husband and two kids … sometimes in our 4Runner off-roading! I’m looking forward to foraging for wild herbs and mushrooms during our adventures. After recently receiving a rockhounding kit from my husband as a gift, I definitely foresee hunting for crystals - like aquamarine - in the mountains. I’ve always been intuitive, spiritual and feel my best when I’m in nature or creating art. I also love animals and am a dog mom to Ziggy, our spirited furry rescued Shepherd/Pitty mix. I’m also known as the “red-headed lady from the Ken Caryl Post Office” as that was my job for the past four years.

  • I’m one part aesthetician, one part mystic, and two parts glam squad (with a pinch of moon goddess thrown in for good measure). I wholeheartedly believe that natural beauty can also be luxurious.

I treat my clients in knowing how best to help heal their skin.

Vyleta is my alter ego self. A pen name I used once upon a time when I wrote for a fanzine for the band The Cure. She is sexy, vibrant, exuberant, sultry, vintage old Hollywood … a mystical being. Think Dita Von Teese as a skincare educated aesthetician. Vyleta is precisely the vibe I brought to the creation of my own brand and salon. The birth of Vyleta Aesthetics was a leap into the unknown for me - yet, somehow I actually knew this is what I needed to be doing. Let me explain.

And this is Vyleta

I was in public education for 23 years as a former art and special education teacher, and then an Executive Director of Special Education for a large, urban school district. Along the way I earned a Bachelor’s Degree and two Masters. It was a rewarding career, but my soul felt there had to be more. Humbly, I now accept that darker days intervened … addiction to alcohol, a life-altering injury from a fall my husband will never forget, and a stress-induced autoimmune disease took over my interstitial tissue (scarring my lungs and cracking my skin). I’m happily sober for three years and counting, and everyone is healed now.

My family had moved to Denver, and our home in Milwaukee finally sold when I had a divine revelation. For the first time ever, I felt free to pursue what truly lit me up. I followed that inner knowing, and it led me to Herbalism Roots school in Denver - and then to its sister school the Denver School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics. The warm energy that guided me to aesthetician school is the same intuition I’ve followed since then in developing my own brand and salon. It has helped me find true happiness and “find myself” in my career again. And it informs the way I treat my clients in knowing how best to help heal their skin.

I’m a certified Breath and Sound Healer, Elite Body Sugaring Practitioner and Colorado Licensed Esthetician based in Littleton, Colorado.
